Meet Will Crocker

Will Crocker Portrait

"My family came to the Cape in the 1630’s, and we’ve been here ever since. I’m proud to step up again to serve the community that has given me so much.”

Will’s heritage is often referred to as a “True Cape Codder.” The Crockers settled in the Town of Barnstable with the first families in the 1600’s. Will was born in Hyannis and raised in West Barnstable. He graduated from Barnstable High School and attended Cape Cod Community College, subsequently graduating from the University of Maine.

Will worked in the broadcast communications industry for over 30 years, both in radio and television, reporting on important local issues for stations including 99.9 The Q, Ocean 104.7, Classical 107.5 and 95.1 WXTK. During most of those years, Will was a high school Speech and Debate coach who guided his teams to consecutive state championships. Will also sent students to the national championships 21 out of 25 years with 1 national champion.

In 2011, Will left broadcasting to pursue a full-time career in education working at the Bristol County House of Correction helping inmates to attain their high school diplomas and to obtain employment after their release.

Will served as Town Councilor from 2013-2017, representing Precinct 6. During his tenure, he worked to ensure that Centerville's voice was heard on the Council, and advocated for public safety and responsible development.

In 2016, Will was elected to serve as State Representative for the 2nd Barnstable district.  On Beacon Hill, his priorities centered around caring for our most vulnerable - our aging population, caregivers, and law enforcement. He is a tireless advocate for taxpayers and families here on the Cape.

Since elected office, Will has served in the Massachusetts Office of Business Development and in the Legislature.
